Want to have a fantastic life and probably steer your business to another new level? Then it is of utmost importance as human beings

to have in mind of what’s trending regarding technology.

Last week Consumer Electronics Show (CES) conducted their 51st grand exhibition with a host of the latest launches and trends with companies showcasing their new technologies ranging from digital tech to product tech.

TOP TRENDS AT CES 2018

This year’s conference didn’t disappoint at all with a return to innovations we have seen over past few decades – from self-driven autos to connected home products and augmented reality.  While this is not anything new the conference showcased a clear snapshot of what venture tech one should be having in mind, budgeting for, or already working on.

Here’s a round-up of the top trends from this year’s conference.

faceRecognition250

Facial Recognition

Facial recognition software is not a new technology but has been making great strides. This software is probably one of the coolest features on the mobile handsets and other entertainment devices.

Facial recognition, when incorporated together with other biometric measures, will help reduce security breaches in technological gadgets and improve standard video systems.

Convertible Tablets and Laptops

Following the finger touch technology more convertible devices are being manufactured with more traditional user friendly interfaces and robust capabilities. These convertibles have a superior degree of functionality; the Lenovo X1 Yoga is a good example. This device comes with a convertible keyboard capable of folding behind the device without detaching when operating in tablet mode and unfolding when one wants to use the keyboard.

ar250

Augmented Reality

Not many have ever thought of augmented reality outpacing virtual reality but this year's CES proved it all.

With VR is still growing, AR is also likely to explode in the course of this year, presenting users with experiences that immerse them and keep them connected.

wirelessCharging175

Wireless Charging

The 21st century is a digital era but most of us are still often tethered to power sources by charging cords, however with wireless charging technology on the horizon this will finally be a thing of the past. Brands like Energous and Powercast are manufacturing chargers that transmit power to multiple devices without the need of having a wired connection; this has influenced the charging process making it more convenient.

healthSensors175

Health Sensors

Just like Artificial Intelligence health sensors have had a significant implication in the healthcare industry.

While there are many factors to consider when it comes to personal information and compliance with HIPAA, the value of health sensors is undisputed when it comes to helping improve one’s well-being and health. Sleep sensors, just to mention an example, were one of the most incredible items during this year's conference.

5G Technology

With the increase in speeds and computing power, the 5G technology is poised to create a massive advancement in the computing world. Without the support of the new 5G technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) wouldn’t have advanced this much for with this technology multi-gigabit download speeds are possible.

Smart Cars

This year’s tech advances on smart cars aim at improving the driving experience with a wide range of amazing technologies from smart dashboard companions that easily incorporate mobile applications and cameras into vehicles allowing users to schedule, listen to music and even shop without much difficulty upon command.

In conclusion, these upcoming hot trends are just a few but to mention. There are many more others that one should check out just to keep track of the advancing technology.
